Who are you when no one is looking?

I believe character is all about who you are when no one is looking. What kind of morals and standards do you have when you know no one will ever see, hear, or find out about whatever it is you are questioning yourself on? Or do you even ever question your self? Do you have a three-way conversation with some mentally regurgitated cartoon of a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other? What drives you to "always do the right thing," or do you? Some things seem too good and too easy to pass up. Who would ever know......except you? So I'd like to know, who are you when no one is looking?

I'm probably a better person when no one is looking.

Makes one want to question what kind of person you are when people are looking....hmmmm? I myself have built mighty high standards, even for myself. I admit, there are times I fall short of my own expectations. Then again, I also believe we can learn from our mistakes. I've taken that idea to heart many times and have grown as individual as a result. If you're Gandhi, I suppose there's less conflict. But I think for many, being truly honest, especially with yourself, can be challenging at times. We are imperfect beings struggling towards better versions of ourselves. I know when I die, I will look back and probably not see perfection. I will though, see strides towards personal greatness. I think that's all anyone can really hope to achieve in their lives.
